Coming off in the match after back-to-back draws, Delhi Dynamos would look to return to winning ways when they face last year's winners Atletico de Kolkata in their Indian Super League (ISL) game at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday.

Delhi had already squandered the chance to go top of the league in their previous two matches. With 14 points from eight matches, Delhi are on third spot and a win on Saturday will boost their chances of making it to the semis.

However, ATK will surely be a tough nut to crack despite their inconsistent performances.

Dynamos were on the brink of losing their last match against Mumbai City FC before being saved by the injury-time equaliser from Robin Singh. On the other hand, Atletico de Kolkata are on the fourth spot - trailing Delhi by just one point and a win for them will also put them in a solid position on the table.

The highlight of Delhi's campaign this season has been that they have won three away matches out of five and their form on the road has kept them among the top three. But the biggest problem for Dynamos have been their goal scoring. They have scored just seven of them, the least among the eight teams.

The biggest reason why Delhi find themselves in top three is their rock solid defence. Liverpool legend John Arne Riise has marshalled the back four brilliantly along with Anas Edathodika. With goalkeeper Antonio Doblas in great form, Delhi have conceded just seven goals in eight matches so far.

On the other hand, ATK have been inconsistent in the tournament, having won four matches and lost as many with one draw. After losing Helder Postiga early in the campaign due to injury they have really missed the leader among their group and few times they have even conceded silly goals which have let them down.

After a string of three losses, ATK have won twice in their last three matches, including the one against Kerala Blasters away from home and that must have been some sort of a confidence booster in an otherwise patchy performance in their campaign so far. So, their confidence will surely be high in Saturday's encounter.

So it will be Delhi's defence vs Kolkata's attack at the JLN Stadium on Saturday.

What's your reaction?
