Newly appointed Stoke City manager Mark Hughes is targeting Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe.
According to reports in Thye Mirror, the English striker currently has two years left on his contract and Hughes is keen to getting him back and reunite the duo of Defoe and Peter Crouch.
Crouch and Defoe played together at the forward position for Tottenham. The 30-year-old might be familiar that with potential signings of David Villa and either Christian Benteke or Valencia's Roberto Soldado, he will have his work cut off.
Tottenham are looking for a buyer for the £6million-rated Defoe and Hughes is likely to land the striker at the Britannia stadium.
