Guardiola asks Barca to cancel Jorquera deal
Barcelona coach is happy to work with just two first team goalkeepers.

New Delhi: Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has asked the club to terminate the contract of third choice goalkeeper Albert Jorquera according to El Mundo Deportivo.

Jorquera was told that he was surplus to requirements at the end of last season and has apparently refused offers via his representative from clubs, most of which come from Spanish football's second tier, La Liga Adelante.

The 30-year-old stopper, who is a product of Barca's youth system, has only played for the blaugrana on seven occasions since turning professional in 1999.

He is Barcelona's third choice 'keeper behind Victor Valdes and 33-year-old Jose Pinto who the cules signed from Celta Vigo last year.

Barcelona B goalkeeper, 19-year-old Oier Olazabal looks to have passed Jorquera in the pecking order.

Jorquera signed a new deal at Camp Nou in 2008 which runs until next summer but it now appears as though his days at Barcelona are numbered.
