Crystal Palace in $1m bid for Milligan: report

Crystal Palace have reportedly placed a $1m bid for Australian and Melbourne Victory midfielder Mark Milligan, who recently snubbed the interest from United Arab Emirates outfit Baniyas.

Playing in the Premier League has been a long cherished dream of the 27-year-old and a string of performances that helped the Socceroos qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup only enhanced that possibility with Palace boss Ian Holloway taking interest in him.

If he joins Palace, he would play along side fellow international Mile Jedinak, who was appointed as captain of the club season.

Palace returned to the top flight Premier League via play-offs.
