Barcelona: Barcelona striker David Villa believes that despite their successful 2010-11 campaign, they need to continue their development and improve for next season.
The Catalan giants won the Primera Division for the third successive year and also emerged victorious in the Champions League, comprehensively defeating Manchester United 3-1 in the final at London's Wembley Stadium last week.
However, Villa, who joined Barca from Valencia last summer and scored the third goal against United, believes that there is still room for improvement.
"One can always improve," the Spain international told Barca TV. "We have to carry on the same way again and try to be back next year, being photographed alongside even more trophies."
Reflecting on their double-winning season, the 29-year-old stated: "I think the balance is almost perfect, despite having been beaten in the Spanish Cup Final [which Barca lost 1-0 to Real Madrid].
"The most important thing is how the team has competed and how we've given everything in all the competitions.
"I'm really happy how things have gone from day one until the end," Villa further enthused. "Fate decided that I would come to Barca this year and I'm totally happy."
Villa scored 18 goals and provided 10 assists in 34 Primera Division appearances and netted four times in 12 Champions League matches.
