The State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET) has postponed the TS POLYCET 2024 exam. The exam which was scheduled to take place on May 17 will now be conducted on May 24. “Important: POLYCET-2024 Exam is rescheduled to 24-05-2024,” reads the official notice. The exam is conducted for candidates seeking admission to diploma-level programmes offered in government engineering colleges in Telangana. The results are expected to be released around May 29.

Meanwhile, the application process is underway. Candidates can submit their applications through the official website, polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in by April 22 without late fees. The application fee for TS POLYCET 2024 is Rs 500 for all categories, except for SC and ST candidates, who are required to pay Rs 250 for registration. However, applicants can also apply by April 24, but with a late fee of Rs 100, and by April 26 with a late fee of Rs 300.

TS POLYCET 2024: Eligibility criteria

Candidates who have passed the SSC or class 10 or matric or its equivalent examination recognized by the Telangana Board of Secondary Education are eligible to apply for the exam. Candidates who have compartmentally passed or are appearing for the SSC examination are also eligible to apply. However, they must have passed all subjects before seeking admission.

Step 3: Register yourself.

Step 4: Provide the required information.

Step 5: Upload the necessary documents.

Step 6: Pay the application fees.

Step 7: Download the confirmation page for future records.

Those who clear the exam will next have to participate in the counselling process for further admission process based on the merit list. General category candidates who secure a minimum of 30 per cent or 36 marks out of 120 will be eligible for counselling, while SC and ST candidates have no minimum percentage.
