The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced a recruitment notification for constable positions. A total of 4,002 posts will be filled through this recruitment drive. Candidates who wish to register for the exam can do so through the official website at jkssb.nic.in.
The registration process is set to begin on July 30, with the last date set for August 29. Admit cards will be issued one week before the exam. Candidates applying for these positions should be residents of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and must possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority.
Candidates need to include their email ID, name, name of the examination, online application form, mobile number, and date of birth in all communications with the Board. Communications that do not include these details will not be entertained. Candidates need to have the necessary academic qualifications and other documents such as a birth certificate, domicile certificate, category certificate, etc., before the last date of online application submission.

Step 3 — Complete the registration fee.
Step 4 — Upload the required documents.
Step 5 — Fill out and submit the application form with the necessary details.
Step 6 — Download and take a printout of the acknowledgment form for future purposes.
JKSSB Constable Recruitment 2024: Application Fees
The application fee is Rs 700. For SC, ST-1, ST-2, and EWS categories, candidates are required to pay Rs 600. Payment can be made online through credit card, net banking, or debit card. Applications submitted without the prescribed fee will not be considered and will be rejected. Once you pay the fee, it cannot be refunded or adjusted for any other examination or selection.
JKSSB Constable Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
Written Exam: This will include objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs). All the questions will be in English only. Wrong answers will result in a penalty of one-fourth of the marks allocated to each question.
Physical Standard Test: Candidates who successfully clear the written exam will be shortlisted for this round.
Physical Endurance Test: Candidates who meet the above physical standards will need to undergo a physical endurance test, which includes long race and push-ups for males and long race and shot put for females.
