JKCET counselling round 1 will be held on June 30 for ranks 1 to 500. Candidates who do not join their allotted college after counselling will not be eligible for further counselling rounds

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Examinations (JKBOPE) has released the counselling schedule for 2024 for admission into B. Tech and B.E. courses, offered via the Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET). Candidates who have cleared JKCET are required to participate in the counselling process to proceed with their admission procedures.

JKCET counselling round 1 will be held on June 30 for ranks 1 to 500. Candidates must physically report at the BOPEE offices in Jammu or Srinagar between 8:30 am and 10 am on the day for registration, attendance, and other formalities. Additionally, they have to deposit a counselling fee of Rs 1,000 using the POS machine available at the BOPEE offices in Jammu or Srinagar, payable via debit or credit cards.

“Any candidate who fails to deposit the counselling fee shall not be allowed to participate in the counselling process,” read a notification from JKBOPE.

Candidates who do not join their allotted college after counselling will not be eligible for further JKCET counselling rounds. The seat matrix will be posted separately on the official website before counselling begins.

JKCET Counseling 2024: List of documents required

1. Class 12th mark sheet.

2. Domicile certificate of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir or Ladakh.

3. Category certificate, including TFW, if any.

4. Date of birth certificate issued by J-K Board of School Education, Centre Board, or other boards.

JKCET Round 2 Counselling schedule

Round 2 counselling for candidates ranked from 501 to 1,100 will commence on July 1, while Round 3 for candidates ranked from 1,101 to 1,662 is scheduled for July 2.

Notably, if a candidate is unable to attend counselling in person due to a valid reason, they can authorise a family member to participate on their behalf. The authorised person must present an Authority Letter in the prescribed format, available at the BOPEE offices in Srinagar or Jammu, along with a valid ID proof, on the scheduled day of counselling corresponding to the candidate’s rank.
