JEE Main 2024: Ranchi's Priyansh Pranjal Gets AIR 30 With 100 Percentile
Priyansh devoted 10 to 12 hours daily to his studies and kept taking breaks of 10-15 minutes in between.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of JEE Main 2024 session 2 on April 25. The JEE Main entrance examination is for admission to undergraduate engineering courses. Priyansh Pranjal from Ranchi, Jharkhand is among the numerous aspirants who emerged as a standout achiever by securing 100 percentile and attaining an All India Rank of 30.

Hailing from Morabadi, Priyansh’s triumph in the competitive examination has garnered widespread recognition and admiration from teachers, friends, and well-wishers. However, his journey was not easy and was marked by challenges and dedication. In an interview with Local18, Priyansh shared insights from his study routine and emphasised the importance of consistency.

He said, “After coming back from school, after taking some rest, I used to start studying and study till 2:00 am in the night.” He devoted 10 to 12 hours daily to his studies and kept taking breaks of 10-15 minutes in between.

Priyansh added that consistency is most important for success. He said, “I started working hard from the first day of class 11. Without skipping a day, I continued to work till the last day of the exam. This maintains momentum and guarantees success. During this period, I maintained distance from social media. Sometimes I used to read something good on the platform. Was completely away from things like Instagram, WhatsApp or other entertainment. Apart from this, also maintained distance from street food to avoid the deteriorating health.”

He added that success does not depend on the hours of studying but on proper understanding and maintaining consistency. “Do not consider studies as a burden and develop a curiosity to know new things. This will make you feel like reading and it will also be fun,” he further said.

Highlighting the significance of thorough revision and practice, Priyansh stressed the need for the practical application of knowledge rather than a mere accumulation of information. He explained that the most important thing is how much revision you are doing. If you read 10 books and you don’t know even two questions, then it is of no use. However, it is important to be able to solve seven out of 10 questions after reading a book. For this, keep revising and practising as much as possible.

“I practiced a lot and solved as many test papers as I could and instead of getting frustrated by mistakes, I worked on it. Now all my focus is on JEE Advanced. I will try to bring glory to my school and parents even in that exam also,” he said. He further said that he remains focused on intensive preparation while also indulging in his hobbies, such as playing various games with friends to rejuvenate his mind.

Throughout his journey, Priyansh draws inspiration from his father, whom he regards as a role model for his unwavering dedication and honesty in his profession at the civil court. “I look at my father as a road model who always performs all his duties with utmost honesty. He has supported me a lot at all times and in every situation. If I needed anything, he would sense it and give it to me,” he said.
