The Indian Navy has released a recruitment notification inviting applications for the position of Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) Medical Assistant. This recruitment drive is for unmarried male candidates only. As per the notice, the online application process will start on September 7, 2024 and will conclude on September 17. Indian Navy SSR Medical Assistant Post Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have been born between November 1, 2003, and April 30, 2007, and they must be unmarried. In addition, candidates should be at least 152.5 cm tall. Candidates for the role of Medical Assistant must have completed their Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their primary subjects. A minimum of 50 percent overall in these three subjects is necessary, as well as at least 40 percent in each subject.
Indian Navy SSR Medical Assistant Post Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
There will be two phases to the selection process. In the first step, students are shortlisted based on their 12th-grade Physics, Chemistry, and Biology scores. The second phase consists of a written test and a Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

Indian Navy SSR Medical Assistant Post Recruitment 2024: Salary
Selected candidates would be paid a stipend of Rs 14,600 for the initial training term. After completing the course, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix, with a salary ranging from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100, with a monthly Military Service Pay (MSP) of Rs 5,200 and Dearness Allowance.
The final merit list will be determined by the marks gained in the written examination, with applicants who pass the pulmonary function test (PFT), Physical Standard Test (PST) and medical examinations appearing on the list.
