Gujarat Titans have shared a glimpse of how they celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr.

The Gujarat Titans squad celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with a grand ‘Dawat’ on Thursday.  The former IPL champions will be back in action on April 17 when they face Delhi Capitals. During the ongoing break, the franchise’s official Instagram account has shared a glimpse of the squad’s Eid celebrations.

The video opens with their captain Shubman Gill making his way to the food buffet. GT head coach Ashish Nehra can be seen having a fun interaction with Afghan bowler Rashid Khan.

Whereas, other stars including Kane Williamson, Umesh Yadav and Sai Sudharshan were already seated enjoying the flavoursome food palette.

“And that’s how our Titans celebrated Eid!”, Gujarat wrote in their post.

GT’s celebratory feast followed the team’s three-wicket victory against the Rajasthan Royals.

Playing at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium on April 10, Gujarat were locking horns with an undefeated Sanju Samson-led side. The previous season’s finalists bowled first and found the early wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler.

However, Samson partnered with Riyan Parag to stitch a big partnership. The duo propelled RR to 196.

Rashid Khan found the most impact on the bowling front with one wicket in four overs while giving away a mere 18 runs.

Gill spearheaded the chase with 72 runs in 44 balls.

Gill took up the role after Hardik Pandya returned to his old franchise Mumbai Indians.

Gill’s tenure as captain began well as GT beat MI in their tournament opener at the Narendra Modi Stadium. As of now, the team has played a total of six games with three wins and as many defeats.

They will be eyeing their fourth against a Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals squad next.

As for Pandya’s switch to the Mumbai Indians, the former Gujarat skipper is slowly getting a grip on his squad. After three losses on the trot, MI have secured back-to-back victories against the DC and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. They will now be looking to take down the Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium this weekend.
