'Such Actions Are Completely Unacceptable, Those Involved Must Apologise': PCB Chairman Threatens Legal Action
The PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has threatened legal actions against those who hurled abuses at Haris Rauf in the video which went viral recently.

The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi has issued a statement condemning the actions of the fan who verbally abused the international pacer, Haris Rauf in the United States of America.

A video surfaced on social media where Rauf was seen being verbally abused by the fan and this led to a confrontation with the fast-bowler. Following this, Rauf also issued a statement where he maintained his stance that he would not stand for any abuses being hurled at his family.

The PCB Chairman in his statement revealed that if those who were involved did not issue an apology to the quick-bowler, then he would take legal action against those at fault.

“Strongly condemn the appalling incident involving Haris Rauf. Such actions against our players are completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Those who are involved must immediately apologise to Haris Rauf, failing which we will pursue legal action against the individual responsible,” said the PCB Chairman.

It is not been a pleasant period for Pakistan Cricket who are under the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. The team suffered a group-stage exit in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2024 after being beaten by the likes of India and the USA.

Despite getting wins against Canada and Ireland, the team were unable to progress to the Super 8s which is a significant fall considering that they were the runners-up in the previous edition.

Questions have been asked regarding the current team and reports also suggest a disjoint among the key figures in the locker room to add fuel to the fire. Former cricketers have questioned Babar Azam’s credibility to lead the side following their premature dismissal in the T20 showpiece event.

With such unrest within the Pakistan Cricket fraternity, it is going to take a mammoth effort to overturn their sufferings and get back to playing their best cricket.
