Rohit Sharma seems to be enjoying his time off ahead of the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka.

India’s 50-over and Test skipper, Rohit Sharma is seen enjoying his time off away from cricket ahead of his next assignment which is the ODI series against Sri Lanka coming up later this month.

The Indian captain shared some hearty photos on his official handle on Instagram where he is seen pictured with his wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira with the caption, “Switch off & reset”.

Rohit has been travelling around the globe during his break. He was seen attending events in Dallas, USA and made a special appearance at Wimbledon as well.

Rohit Sharma’s break is set to come to an end as he will be back with the Indian team who will be travelling to Sri Lanka for the white-ball tour. Rohit however, will not be taking part in the T20I series as he announced his retirement from the format after the T20 World Cup 2024 along with the likes of Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja.

The upcoming tour will be a new beginning for the Men in Blue as Gautam Gambhir’s stint as the head coach of the Indian team will begin and Rohit will hope to give the best from his side.

The Indian team will take part in the three-match T20I series followed by a three-match T20I series in Sri Lanka. Gambhir along with the Chief Selector, Ajit Agarkar will address the media tomorrow ahead of their tour of Sri Lanka.

Following Rohit’s retirement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Suryakumar Yadav would be the new captain of the T20I side, marking a new era for the Indian team in the shortest format.
