Every Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fan will undoubtedly remember the winning moment of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) final for ages. It was a dramatic night in Ahmedabad where Ravindra Jadeja unleashed his inner beast in the final two deliveries to secure a miraculous win over Gujarat Titans. After registering the last-gasp victory, Jadeja broke into a roaring celebration.
GT pacer Mohit Sharma had bowled a low full-toss, targeting Jadeja’s pads. The Southpaw read the line well and swang the bat to clear the boundary through the short fine leg. As CSK and GT are set to lock horns at the same venue for a league-stage game on Friday evening, the ace all-rounder was spotted recreating his last year’s victory lap at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium.
During a training session on Thursday, Jadeja was seen replicating the shot that sealed the victory in the IPL 2023 final. He struck an imaginary ball exactly in the same way, lifted his bat and started running around the ground while looking at the stands.

The heroic performance by Ravindra Jadeja helped Chennai Super Kings to claim their fifth IPL title, equaling the record of arch-rivals Mumbai Indians. It was the last campaign for MS Dhoni as the captain of the Yellow Army. Ahead of this year’s IPL, Ruturaj Gaikwad replaced Dhoni as the new skipper.
Under the young leader, CSK kicked off the season on a promising note. The defending champions, however, failed to continue the momentum for long. After losing a few crucial matches, the reigning champions now find themselves in a tricky situation. They must win the remaining three games to confirm a playoff spot. CSK now have 12 points in 11 matches.
