Butterfingers no more for LSG, as Deepak Hooda pulled off an instinctive stunner off thin air to dismiss CSK’s Daryl Mitchell as both sides face off in Chepauk tonight.

LSG got off to the best of starts as pacer Matt Henry wreked havoc with the ball to send opener Ajinkya Rahane packing back to the pavilion for a mere run.
But then CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad took control and alongside Daryl Mitchell set off to get Chennai going with some aggressive strokes.
But then as it seemed like the Mitchell-Gaikwad duo were well on their way to build a solid partnership, Yash Thakur’s slower back-of-the-length delivery tempted Mitchell to pull it square, in the direction of Hooda, who dived to his left and snapped the flying ball from thin air.

Hooda’s catch comes in the back of yet another missed catch of Daryl Mitchell in the second over itself, when Yash himself dropped a seemingly sitter off Mohsin Khan at slips.
Skipper Gaikwad though continues to march on ahead as his 37* off 19 is his second highest score in the powerplay in the IPL, only behind 46* off 20 against the same team at the same venue last year.
CSK will aim to rebuild and set up a formidable target for the visitors as the race for the playoff spots intensifies with the days.
