Kolkata Knight Riders’ star all-rounder Andre Russell is set to make his music video debut. A glimpse of Russell’s new music video was recently shared on the social media platform Instagram. The post showcases a poster where the West Indies cricketer can be seen posing beside his co-star Avika Gor. Andre Russell’s love for Bollywood music is no secret. A glimpse of his fascination was visible during one of the Kolkata Knight Riders’ travels in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). During their trip to Visakhapatnam, the franchise showcased a video of the West Indies star joining Rinku Singh to produce a lively rendition of the song “Lutt Putt Gaya” from the Bollywood movie Dunki. It is the same film that starred the Kolkata-based franchise’s co-owner Shah Rukh Khan. Andre Russell is one of the most sought-after players in the IPL. He has proved his worth in the competition, following his debut in 2012. After a couple of years, he made a switch to the Kolkata Knight Riders. Since then, Russell has been at the end of several match-winning knocks for KKR also winning the trophy in his debut season against the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). Russell produced his best individual campaign in 2019 when he added 510 runs while taking 11 wickets in the tournament. In the last decade, Russell has established himself as a formidable all-rounder in the franchise league. Overall, he has played 121 games in the tournament donning scoring 2441 runs and claiming 105 wickets.

While Andre Russell prepares for his music video launch, the Kolkata Knight Riders continue their strife of making the playoffs. They have been in brilliant form this season, bagging six wins in nine matches. They currently acquire the second position on the points table, courtesy of their victory against the Delhi Capitals on April 29. The Shreyas Iyer-led side will next compete against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday, May 3.
