Former India batter Virender Sehwag recenty trolled ex Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist, saying that India ‘are rich people’.
During a chat on the Club Prairie Podcast, Sehwag’s hilarious comment made Gilchrist laugh non-stop for minutes.
When Gilchrist asked Sehwag why Indian cricketers’ do not take part in T20 leagues apart from the Indian Premier League.
Gilchrist asked, “Do you see a time when Indian players will be able to play in other T20 leagues?”
Sehwag replied, “No, we don’t need to. We are rich people, we don’t go to poor countries for other leagues.”

Shewag also revealed that he rejected the possibility claiming the amount he offered to play in BBL was nearly the same that he spends on his holidays.
“I still remember that when I retired from the Indian team, not retired but dropped and was playing IPL, I received an offer to participate in Big Bash. I said that okay how much money you are offering? They said some $100,000. I replied I can spend that much that much money on my holidays,” he added.
“I said I can spend that money in my holidays, even last night bill was more than that,” Sehwag added.
Sehwag also revealed his preferred player he would like to see represent India at the T20 World Cup.
“Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Surya Kumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Rinku Singh or Shivam Dubai. Out of those two, one. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Sandeep Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja.” Sehwag said promptly when asked about his India playing XI.
