Team India looked to be on the verge of a dominant win against Australia, but the Indian top-order collapsed as the three batters were dismissed for a mere three runs. Ishan Kishan who stepped in for Shubman Gill was dismissed for a duck in the first over itself by Mitchell Starc while Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer were both dismissed by Josh Hazlewood to put India in grave danger as they are to chase 200 to get their first win in their World Cup campaign hosted at home.

India will have to rely on the likes of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja if they are to get their first win in the 2023 World Cup.

Many thought that India had the game in the bag as the Indian bowlers managed to dismiss the Australian batters for only 200 runs.

But the Indian top-order batters could not live up to the expectations as fans expected an easy chase for the Indians.

However, the question remains whether Virat Kohli can help lead this team to a win as he has always done for the country. While 200 might be a relatively low score in 50-over cricket, the track seems to be a difficult one to bat on as well. Keeping that in mind it is clear that the Indian batting will be tested once again.

The Australian team look to be under control as they will look to continue putting the pressure on the Indians as they also eye their first win in the World Cup, in 2023.
