Amid Paruthiveeran Controversy, Director Ameer Extends Thanks to Suriya

The Paruthiveeran movie dispute has gained significant traction on social media in recent days. Producer Gnanavel Raja alleged budget mismanagement by actor-director Ameer in the acclaimed film, notable for marking Karthi’s debut. This has stirred several celebrities to rally behind Ameer, expressing dissent against Gnanavel Raja, Suriya, and Karthi.

Recently, director Ameer expressed gratitude in a statement, acknowledging the overwhelming support from fans, the public, and the media industry of Tamil Nadu. Despite facing slander and insults from certain individuals a month ago, the director extended sincere thanks for the unexpected confidence, love, and support he received.

Marking the 21st anniversary of the debut film Maunam Pasithe, the director acknowledges it as a milestone in establishing his identity in the industry.

During the commemoration, the director recognizes the challenges faced by those entering the film industry, noting that not all aspirations have been realized over the years.

In recent interviews, Ameer also mentioned that he and Suriya were good friends until Gnanavel Raja came. Despite this, Ameer didn’t refuse to act alongside Suriya in the upcoming project Vaadivaasal, directed by Vetrimaaran. In his statement commemorating the 21st release anniversary of his debut movie Mounam Pesiyadhe, which starred Suriya, Ameer extended thanks to Suriya.

“I was once among the dreamers in the crowd. I extend my gratitude to Aparajeeth Films, particularly producers Ganesh Raghu and Venky Narayanan, who were behind Mounam Pesiyathe. Thanks also to the actors and actresses, including Suriya, Trisha, and Laila, along with cinematographer Ramji and Yuvan Shankar Raja, for their contributions and support on this journey,” Ameer said.

Expressing gratitude, Ameer said, “Your support has been instrumental in keeping me in your thoughts”. Over the past 21 years, despite having directed only a few films, Ameer expressed sincere gratitude to the fans of Mounam Pesiyadhe, media friends, and the people of Tamil Nadu.
