A Short Prequel To LCU? South Actor Narain Has More On It
There has been a lot of hype about the LCU, as Kaithi was followed by Kamal Haasan’s Vikram and Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo.

Popular actor Naren, who played a crucial role in the blockbuster film Kaithi, recently shared insights into the progress of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). The first instalment, Kaithi, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, garnered immense success, followed by Vikram and Leo. Naren, speaking at an event, disclosed that Lokesh Kanagaraj has created a new 10-minute short film that serves as a precursor to Kaithi 2 within the LCU.

While Naren expressed excitement about the LCU’s future, he also mentioned that the official announcement of Kaithi 2 is pending, as Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently occupied with his project alongside Rajinikanth. However, Naren assured fans that the short film provides fresh insights and serves as the origin story for the LCU, offering a glimpse into events preceding Kaithi.

Presently, Naren is actively promoting his upcoming Malayalam film, Queen Elizabeth, where he reunites with Meera Jasmine after a hiatus. The iconic duo, known for their memorable pairings in Malayalam cinema, is set to captivate audiences once again with their on-screen chemistry.

Regarding the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, the latest addition came with Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo, which not only became a massive hit but also integrated various references to the LCU. Reports suggest that the central antagonist in the universe will be portrayed by Suriya, playing the character Rolex. Suriya made a significant appearance in the concluding scene of Vikram, leaving an indelible mark on the audience.

The anticipation for Kaithi 2 and the expanding Lokesh Cinematic Universe continues to grow, with fans eager to witness the unfolding saga in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s distinctive storytelling style.
