New Delhi: According to the latest reports from CNBC-TV18, Mittal Steel has decided to increase its offer for Arcelor to £14.1 billion from the current £12.7 billion.
Mittal Steel Chief Executive, Laxmi Mittal said the offer will be launched within two weeks, once the regulatory approvals are in place.
Earlier last month, Arcelor Chief Executive, Guy Dolle had said that Mittal Steel's offer was not good enough and would never pass muster with shareholders.
At that time Mittal officials had said that the company had no plans to increase the open offer price £14.1 billion from the current £12.7 billion.
