Bharti Telecom continues to be the single largest shareholder in Bharti Airtel with 45.4 per cent stake.
New Delhi: The Foreign Investment Promotion Board, FIPB, has approved the increase in both direct and indirect Foreign Direct Investment, FDI, in Bharti Airtel to 74 per cent.
Bharti however said that there was no dilution in stake by the Indian promoters. The only difference is that the Department of Telecom, DoT, has now changed the counting pattern and it takes into account both direct and indirect investment.
Bharti Telecom continues to be the single largest shareholder in Bharti Airtel with 45.4 per cent stake. Vodafone and Singtel have 5.6 per cent and 15.6 per cent direct stake in Bharti Airtel.
