Berlin's Aerospace Exhibition takes off
Current and future developments in aerospace technology from 42 nations are on display at the nternational Aerospace Exhibition.

New Delhi: The 8th International Aerospace Exhibition is taking place in Berlin and over a thousand exhibitors from 42 countries are participating with current and future developments in aerospace technology all on display.

The exhibition is the highlight of the industry in Europe and this year organisers are expecting over two hundred thousand visitors.

Russia appears to be the best represented. It has a large number of aircraft on display including innovations by MiG and Sukhoi.

Engine manufactures such as Bell, Lockheed Ma54 rtin, Cessna and Learjet are also present

But the highlight is definitely the Airbus A380.

It's the largest passenger aircraft in the world with eight stories. It's 235 feet long and can carry 853 people.

It is also the most modern long haul aircraft and its commercial introduction will set new standards in aviation.

This is the mammoth craft's first appearnce in Germany and is expected to hit the market by the end of this year.

However, India has decided not to participate in the airshow but will make its appearence at Farnborough in England in July.
