Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan attended the IPL 2024 match between his team Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on Sunday. Navjot Singh Sidhu, a special guest on Star Sports’ Cricket Live, praised SRK, recalling their first meeting and expressing his belief that King Khan would go far in Bollywood.

Sidhu praised SRK, saying, that he has heard the superstar is the most secure person in Bollywood. “Shah Rukh Khan is quite an honorary figure. I have heard from Abhishek Bachchan that SRK is the most secure person ever in the industry. He often encourages other actors.” Sidhu also recalled his first meeting with SRK and said, “I once met him at Model School ground. At that time, he was doing Circus and there was a show called Fauji. I asked him what he wanted to do and he said he wanted to go to Bollywood. When I enquired how he planned to do so without having a relative, and with the competition there, how did he plan to be successful? That is when he said, ‘I don’t compete with anyone but myself.’ I have never forgotten this incident. That day I knew that this man would go a long way. He is as humble as he is successful,” he said.

Shah Rukh Khan thrilled his fans by attending an Indian Premier League match at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens, where he cheered on the teams. The match, between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad, sparked a buzz on social media with photos and videos of Shah Rukh Khan going viral after KKR won the match.
