Hema Malini Croons Holi Ke Din From Her Film 'Sholay', Serenades Fans With A Bhajan In Vrindavan; Watch

On the occassion of Holi, veteran actress Hema Malini celebrated the festival of colours in Vrindavan. Smeared in colours, Malini briefly interacted with the media and sang Holi Ke Din from her hit film ‘Sholay’. The actress also serenaded everyone with a bhajan ‘Shyam Rang Mein Main Toh Rang Gayi’. ANI shared a video of the actress on their X handle.

Hema Malini donned one of her brightest smiles. She looked elegant in a white floral saree, which she teamed with a pink blouse.

Earlier this year, Hema Malini performed a mesmerising Ramayana dance in Ayodhya on January 17, ahead of the grand inauguration. Alongside Vishal Nayak, she left the audience in awe with their performance, portraying Sita and Ram respectively. Pictures from the event are now circulating on the internet.

Speaking about the performance, Hema Malini told ANI, “This programme has been organised by Swami Rambhadracharya. He has organised a 10-day programme. I am fortunate to be here during this time. The whole of Bollywood is ‘Ramamay’. The artists are singing Ram songs. I also sang a Ram Bhajan last year. Everybody is preparing everything on Ram.”

When asked if there should be a Krishna temple at Krishna Janmasthal in Mathura as well, Hema Malini said, as quoted by Mid Day “It should definitely be there. Mathura and Vrindavan are cities with temples. The ‘Janmashtal’ is Lord Krishna’s place… There is a beautiful temple.”

Hema Malini is a veteran actress-turned-politician who has worked in several blockbuster movies including Sholay, Jamai Raja, Kudrat, Desh Premee, Jyoti, Kranti, Do Aur Do Paanch and Baghban among others. Hema was last seen in the 2020 film Shimla Mirchi.

Hema Malini is married to veteran actor Dharmendra. They first met in 1970 when they were shooting for their film Tum Haseen Main Jawaan. Fans loved their pairing. But when they decided to get married, even Hema’s parents were not in favour. However, life had different plans for the couple and after much difficulties, they got married and welcomed two daughters – Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.
