The big bulky Toyota Fortuner has not been a primary choice for the customizers. But for whatever handful of customization work we have seen on Fortuners, we know this SUV can look extremely attractive and eye-catching. There’s an example that has come to the light to show us how cool can a customized Toyota Fortuner can look from down south.
For what we have learned, a Kerala based Toyota dealership, Nippon Toyota, customized the new Toyota Fortuner to gift it to a director of South Indian movies for his new project, featuring South Indian Superstar Mohanlal. The customized Fortuner features an aggressive and bold body kit that transforms the look of the SUV.
The customzied Fortuner comes with a golden yellow exterior paint job with gloss black roof, Lexus inspired grille with vertical chrome slats, heavily sculpted front bumper with a front splitter, LED DRL strips, silver garnish, a new rear bumper housing faux dual exhaust pipes, and black accents around the LED taillamps and headlamps.
The wheels have been painted in gun metal, and the window lines have chrome accentuation. You can buy the complete body kit for as an option for Rs 2 Lakhs over the Fortuner’s price, which starts at Rs 26.66 lakh (ex-showroom, Pre-GST price).
The Toyota Fortuner is available with two engine options: a 2.7-litre petrol unit with 166 PS output and a 2.8-litre diesel engine with 177 PS output. Both the engines can be had with a 6-speed manual or automatic and a 4×4 system is only available in the top-end 2.8 version.
