The upgraded terminal spans 52,000 square meters, a leap from the old terminal’s 22,000 square meters, and can handle up to 9 million passengers annually.

Indigo Airline’s flights between Pune and Delhi will now operate from the airport’s new terminal.

This new terminal, which opened its doors on July 14, also serves flights to Bhubaneswar.

In a recent update on X (formerly Twitter), Pune Airport shared, “Attention passengers! From July 22, 2024, @PuneAirport is moving some Indigo flights between Pune and Delhi to the New Integrated Terminal Building.”

The flights making the move include 6E-2618, 6E-2418, 6E-2343, 6E-2419, 6E-2471, 6E-5261, 6E-2273, 6E-2278, 6E-2674, and 6E-2279.

Santosh Dhoke, Pune Airport’s director, advised, “Passengers on these flights should check in at the new terminal, which offers top-notch facilities for a better travel experience,” as quoted by Hindustan Times.

The new terminal, designed to enhance passenger comfort, spans 52,000 square meters and can handle up to 9 million passengers annually, a significant upgrade from the old terminal’s 22,000 square meters and 7 million capacity.

It features modern amenities such as ten aerobridges, centralized air-conditioning, five baggage carousels (including two for international arrivals), 34 counters, and 25 self-check-in kiosks.

Built at a cost of Rs 423 crore, the 51,595-square-meter terminal includes cultural murals showcasing the region’s heritage. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the terminal via video conference on March 10. The first flights from the new terminal were Air India’s AI-858 to Delhi and Air India Express’ I5 320 to Bhubaneswar.
