Mercedes-Maybach EQS Electric SUV Launched In India, Price Starts At Rs 2.25 Crore
With Maybach-exclusive design and tech features, it's set to stand apart from the standard EQS.

Mercedes-Benz India has launched its first-ever electric Maybach, the Maybach EQS SUV, priced at Rs 2.25 crore (ex-showroom).

This luxury e-SUV is not only the brand’s flagship but also the second most expensive electric SUV in India, following the Lotus Eletre, according to Autocar.

What sets the Maybach EQS apart from the standard EQS SUV is its exclusive design and features. The SUV flaunts a stunning black grille with vertical chrome strips, called the Maybach waterfall grille, giving it a bold look.

The signature Maybach dual-tone paint scheme is available as an option, adding even more glamour. The famous three-pointed star has been moved to the top of the bonnet, enhancing its premium appeal.

Inside, the SUV boasts the same triple-screen layout as the EQS but with unique Maybach-specific start-up sequences. Rear passengers can enjoy two 11.6-inch screens mounted on the front seatbacks, along with an MBUX tablet that can even be used outside the vehicle.

Furthermore, the Maybach EQS offers two luxurious packages – the Chauffeur package for enhanced rear-seat comfort and the First-Class Rear package, which includes features like thermal cup holders and USB-C ports. Optional extras like folding tables and silver-plated champagne goblets take luxury to the next level.

Under the hood, the Maybach EQS 680 packs a punch with a dual-motor setup delivering 658 bhp and 950 Nm of torque, powering all four wheels. It can go from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 210km/h. With a certified range of up to 611km on a single charge, it’s as practical as it is powerful.

Charging is also fast and easy, with a 200kW DC fast charger able to charge the 122kWh battery from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 31 minutes. A quick 20-minute charge gives an impressive 300km range.

While the Maybach EQS doesn’t have direct competitors in India, it stands strong against the Lotus Eletre in the luxury e-SUV segment.
