Maruti Suzuki’s one of the hot selling products Swift and Grand Vitara models have witnessed a price hike. It has been reported that the company increased the hatchback prices by Rs 25,000, while the mid-size SUV’s Sigma variant saw a price jump of Rs 19,000.

The fresh price increase comes months after when the company announced a price hike of 0.45 percent in January 2024, making the whole range more expensive than ever in India. It was then informed that the steps were taken due to cost pressure, caused by inflation and increased commodity prices.

Here’s What Brand Says

As per the details shared by the HT, quoting Maruti Suzuki that says, “We have been trying to absorb the increased input costs for a while now, but the current market conditions have compelled us to pass on some of the hikes to our customers. The price increase will be substantial in some models.”

Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift

The upcoming hatchback is likely to come with a long list of robust features. The vehicle is likely to use a new Z Series 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder engine, which will force the vehicle to generate decent power, and likely to offer and enhanced driving expirence.

Top Improvements

Despite all the updates and cosmetic changes, the four-wheeler will retain its signature styling from the outside. It will continue to feature the same front fascia, featuring improved grills and an updated LED headlight setup.

The side profile is also likely to see some improvements. It might receive a decent amount of cladding with new alloy wheels, which will likely be 15 inches in size.
