Air India's New A320neo With Fresh Livery & Interiors Debuts On Delhi-Bengaluru Route
While the airline’s new Boeing 777s and Airbus A350-900s are enhancing international routes to the US, UAE, and UK, the A320neo will soon cover more routes across India.

Air India‘s first narrowbody plane with the airline’s new look and all-new cabin interiors starts service today on the Delhi-Bengaluru route.

This marks a big step for Air India, showing its dedication to improving its products and offering a world-class flying experience.

According to the official Press Release, the new A320neo aircraft, with the registration VT-RTN, landed in Delhi from Airbus Headquarters in Toulouse on July 7, 2024.

Today, the aircraft made its first commercial flight AI813 from Delhi to Bengaluru and is set to make three more trips on the same route throughout the day.

Air India’s New A320neo: All You Need To Know

The A320neo features three types of cabins: Business, Premium Economy, and Economy, ensuring passengers fly in comfort and style.

  • Business Class: Eight luxurious seats with 40 inches of legroom, 7 inches of recline, adjustable armrests, headrests, leg rests, footrests, and a handy tray table with a holder for personal devices.
  • Premium Economy: 24 seats arranged in a 3-3 layout with extra legroom, superior upholstery, adjustable headrests, 32 inches of legroom, and other amenities, including a personal device holder.
  • Economy: 132 ergonomically designed seats in a 3-3 layout, offering comfortable upholstery, 28-29 inches of legroom, 4 inches of recline, a personal device holder, and a coat hook.

In Premium Economy and Economy cabins, all seats come with USB charging ports, while Business class seats also have AC power outlets, allowing passengers to use their devices without worrying about battery life.

This new aircraft shows Air India’s dedication to upgrading the travel experience on domestic routes. While new Boeing 777s and Airbus A350-900s are set for international routes, the A320neo will gradually serve more destinations within India.
