This delectable dessert, known as Modak, is traditionally served on the first day of Ganesh Chaturthi to welcome Lord Ganesha as he arrives. Modaks come in various styles and flavours, including Steamed Modak, Chocolate Modak, Pineapple Modak, Jaggery Modak, and more, making them a delightful treat during this auspicious festival.
Banana Sheera
One of the most popular offerings to Lord Ganesha is banana halwa or sheera. It is made using semolina, banana, milk, and cardamom for flavouring.
Payasam
Payasam is a form of kheer commonly prepared in South India. It is prepared for Bappa during Ganesh Chaturthi by cooking rice in milk and jaggery with crushed coconut and cardamom for added flavour.
