Trump To Take Part In Fox News Tele-Townhall After Harris Declines Debate Offer
The tele-townhall will be hosted by Fox News anchor Sean Hannity.

Former US president and Republican nominee Donald Trump on Monday said he would participate in a tele-town hall hosted by Fox News in September days after US Vice-President Kamala Harris’ campaign team made it clear that the Democratic nominee will not participate in a debate hosted by the US-based broadcaster that often is seen supportive of the Republican Party.

“Rather than the debate on September 4th, I have agreed to do a Tele-Town Hall, anchored by Sean Hannity, for Fox. It will take place in the Great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania – Details to follow!” Trump posted on Truth Social.

Donald Trump said he was “not surprised” that Harris would not agree to a debate on Fox News. He said it would be ‘difficult’ for her and said she would not be able to “defend her record setting Flip-Flopping on absolutely everything she once believed in”.

Harris’ campaign said Kamala Harris will participate in two presidential debates and Tim Walz, her running mate, will participate in one vice presidential debate.

The first debate will be held on September 10 hosted by ABC News. The second debate will be held in October but no date has been given and Harris’ campaign team said they would consider taking part in one after the September 10 showdown.

Trump’s running mate and Republican Ohio senator JD Vance and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will go head-to-head on October 1.

Donald Trump earlier accepted two other proposed debates – the one that was supposed to be hosted by Fox News and the other by NBC News on September 25.

Trump had engaged in a debate with Joe Biden in June. The US President Biden stepped aside after that debate due to his disastrous performance and made way for Kamala Harris.
