Harman Somal and Navjot Somal, siblings, and Rashmdeep Kaur died in a car accident in Canada’s New Brunswick.

Three Indian students who were studying in Canada were killed in a road accident in Canada’s New Brunswick. The accident occurred in the Mill Cove area when the vehicle carrying four individuals, including the driver, lost a tyre and veered off the highway.

The people inside the car were thrown off it and died on the spot.

A report by broadcaster India Today said two of the three dead were siblings Harman Somal, 23, who was working in a daycare in Moncton, and Navjot Somal, 19, who went to Canada on a study visa a few months ago, from Ludhiana’s Malaud village.

Rashmdeep Kaur (23) of Samana in the Sangrur district of Punjab is the third victim.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said that the accident occurred this Saturday evening. The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

Authorities are investigating what led to the accident.

A GoFundMe online fundraising page has been set up to help send the bodies of the students back to their homes in India.
