Video Shows Man Chewing Raw Coffee Beans Straight From Jar, Internet Not Impressed
In the video, the man shows how he prefers his coffee. He goes over to a shelf in the kitchen, opens a jar of coffee beans and puts a few in his mouth.

Those who enjoy coffee are well aware of the refreshing aroma of their first cup in the morning. It just hits differently when you have freshly ground coffee after a long night’s sleep. Not only can roasted coffee beans add an incredible depth of flavour to your morning cup of joy, but they also provide a variety of health benefits. Many people enjoy lattes and cappuccinos, while others stick to black coffee. But how often do you see someone who loves coffee eat raw coffee beans to meet their daily intake? Recently, a vlogger shared a video featuring her husband doing the same and it has gone viral on Instagram.

In the video, the man shows how he prefers his coffee. “Here’s how I take my morning coffee,” he explains. He goes over to a shelf in the kitchen, opens a jar of coffee beans, selects a few and just puts them in his mouth. “It is pretty crunchy,” the man concedes before claiming that it tastes exactly like coffee. He further explains why he enjoys munching on the beans, “It is actually a lot easier than making coffee.”

“Nobody: My husband: eats coffee beans to get his caffeine instead of just making a yummy cute coffee like normal people,” a note on the top of the video read.

Shared on June 7, the video has collected over 1 million views. Users on Instagram reacted differently to the idea in the comments section.

A person wrote, “I prefer a flat white, so I have it with milk like a cereal.”

Another pointed out, “This is peak middle child behaviour.”

“Definition of ‘just because you can, doesn’t mean you should’” a user commented.

“Straight to jail,” another user joked.

Have you ever considered whether you could consume coffee beans? Experts say that having them in moderation is acceptable. That being said, you should keep a check on how much you eat because the beans contain more caffeine than brewed coffee. Caffeine overuse can cause specific health issues. Furthermore, some of the beans’ constituents might cause gastric problems.
