The nominations for the Lok Sabha elections are in full swing in the country. Leaders from all the states are filing nominations from their respective constituencies. Surprisingly, a poor farmer from the Ballia district, Uttar Pradesh reached out to the DM in the hope of filing the nomination.
DM Ravindra Kumar sat in his office, listening to people’s problems. Everything was normal until suddenly one person sent a letter. Even the DM could not stop himself from laughing while reading the complainant’s letter. A huge crowd gathered outside the DM office to see the hilarious event. The person is none other than Naveen Kumar Rai, a resident of Patkhauli, Ballia, who is a poor illiterate farmer. This farmer visited the DM office with chaff on his head and grains in his hand as a security deposit.
The farmer wrote a letter to the DM that he wanted to contest in the Lok Sabha elections, but he had no money for that. “I gave a letter to the ADM and the DM today. I don’t know why DM Saheb laughed after reading the letter. I shared a serious matter with him. I am a promising and strong candidate for the Lok Sabha elections. My victory is assured. Since I have no money, I have come to hand over all my chaff and grains to the Ballia DM. I have no money. Please keep my grains and chaff as security and allow me to file my candidature,” Naveen Kumar shared with News18.
The DM said the chaff should be taken to the cowshed and fodder grains should be sold. “You will be nominated in the Lok Sabha elections,” he said.
Naveen Kumar Rai is always in the news because of his amazing deeds. Sometimes he would hand over a letter to the DM on a camel ride. He would also address all the officials about the problem of innocent animals lying injured on the road just on the day of the elections. He raised a complaint saying, “Sir, leave the public alone and first solve the problem of these innocent animals.”
