A major part of wedding preparations includes making a guest list and sending out all your invites in time. However, recently, a couple used wedding cards to inform who is not invited to their wedding. Not only that, those who are actually invited have been asked to perform specific chores as well. A viral Reddit post mentioned that a person received a wedding invitation for a cousin’s wedding and it was a big surprise. The post mentioned that the couple was planning a small garden wedding at a location five hours away from where everyone lives and had chosen to keep the guest list small, owing to their limited budget. However, the most surprising aspect has turned out to be the ‘not invited’ wedding cards which the couple sent out to people who could not make it to their guest list.
“I just found out that the wedding couple are sending ‘cards’ to people that are not invited that they are getting married soon and ‘you are in our hearts on this special day’ BEFORE the wedding,” read the post.

“Once the ceremony is done the wedding party will leave to take photos while the GUESTS set up the tables for the reception. I was like what??? They never ASKED if people are willing to do that as if they just dictated people what to do,” the Redditor further mentioned.
The person added that the invite was quite absurd and it made them enquired if the couple was actually serious. To which they replied “yea” and also that many guests had agreed to the conditions as well. They justified their act, saying they did not have the budget to hire people to do the job and hence asked guests to do them.
