Electronics giant Samsung's brand new store in New York City is its latest answer to Apple which is known for its state-of-the-art product stores. Samsung 837, located in the heart of the Meatpacking District, as Samsung puts it, is 'a first-of-its kind cultural destination, digital playground and Marketing Center of Excellence.' The multi-floored store is more like a hub where not only will consumers get to buy latest smartphones but also get to experience a variety of other products and technology by the South Korean manufacturer. Other than product display tables which look inspired from the ones installed at Apple Stores, the Samsung store has a lot on platter which would make the iPhone stores look pale in comparison. Samsung 837 houses a mini auditorium comprising world's largest multimedia screen for performances, live streams, and special events, a gallery for curated content, a broadcast studio, a dedicated virtual reality zone , a kitchen and a living room with Samsung's connected technology for consumers to experience a smart home environment, and much more. In the first two weeks of opening, Samsung 837 will feature exclusive programming including live DJs, Oscar-nominated movie screenings, and a private Oscar viewing party.
