New Delhi: Lenovo has developed a new 12-inch tablet, ideapad Miix 700, which is clearly inspired from Microsoft’s Surface tablet in terms of design.
The Lenovo ideapad Miix 700 comes with an adjustable kickstand at the rear similar to the one on Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 and the similarities don’t end there.
A report on The Verge notes that the ideapad Miix 700's hinge, which Lenovo calls the ‘watchband hinge’, works in a similar way to the recent Yoga tablet but is again identical to the one on Surface Pro 3.
It further comes with a keyboard that magnetically snaps onto the screen of the tablet. Although it is similar to the one offered by Microsoft, but the Lenovo keyboard is thicker and bulkier.
What perhaps sets the Lenovo ideapad Miix 700 apart is that it is powered by Intel’s latest Skylake processors and models are available up to Core m7 coupled with up to 8GB of RAM. Users also have the option to add LTE or Intel's RealSense 3D camera.
The Lenovo ideapad Miix 700 is likely to be priced from $699 onwards when it hits the stores in November.
