New Delhi: Pushing the dimensions of the smartphone display, quite literally, Micromax has unveiled what is touted as the biggest smartphone ever. The Micromax Canvas Fantabulet surpasses the definition of a traditional phablet with its bumper 6.98-inch HD IPS display.
Until now, the maximum display size offered in smartphones has been limited to 6-inches as seen in phones including Samsung Galaxy A9 and Asus ZenFone 2 Laser 6. China-based Letv is also working on a phone that would feature a large 6.33-inch WQHD.
The phone is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor coupled with 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM. It further includes 8 GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32 GB.
The Canvas Fantabulet includes an 8 megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and a 2 megapixel front snapper. It further encases dual box speakers with DTS sound technology.
It is based on Android Lollipop 5.0 and supports dual SIM (3G+2G). The phone draws its juice from a 3000mAh battery.
The Canvas Fantabulet is available in Chrome Gold colour option. It is Flipkart exclusive and priced at Rs 7,499.
