New Delhi: While Apple is yet to officially start selling its newest iPhone 6s, 6s Plus in India, the flagship devices have already found their way on e-commerce giant Flipkart.
The iPhone 6s, available in Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, and Space Grey colour choices is listed at Rs 64,836 for the base model of 16 GB while the 64 GB and 128 GB variants are listed at Rs 74,117 and Rs 83,401 respectively.
The phablet-sized iPhone 6s Plus on the other hand is listed at Rs 74,117 for the base model and Rs 83,401 and Rs 88,478 for the subsequent variants.
A listing by a different seller quotes the iPhone 6s Plus (Rose Gold) 64 GB price at Rs 85,945.
Although Apple has not yet announced the pricing details for India, the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are expected to be priced around the same range as listed on Flipkart. There is also a possibility that the Flipkart prices turn out to be the official prices.
Surprisingly, the site is allowing for a purchase and the listing is not for pre-order. However, the delivery will be made after October 16 (the official date when the phones go on sale in India).
While we attempted to go through the buying process (we didn’t actually make the purchase, just left it on the credit card details page), if the listing isn’t accidental and the purchase isn’t revoked, there is high possibility one can easily get the device of their choice in their choice of colour the very next day the iPhones officially go on sale in the country.
Meanwhile, the phones are also up for pre-order on another online portal Infibeam at Rs 1000.
The newest iPhones come with a tap-reducing feature called 3D Touch along with the new colour choice in Rose Gold.
