Police have said that they have formed several teams to track down the accused

A homosexual man has been booked by Maharashtra Police for allegedly stabbing his 21-year-old gay partner to death in Pune’s Wagholi area. The incident happened on Tuesday evening after the couple had a fallout.

The deceased was pursuing the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) course and stayed in a hostel. He was attacked with a sharp weapon on Bakori Road in Wagholi, an official of Lonikand police station said.

After attacking, the accused fled from the crime scene. A passer-by rushed saw the deceased lying in a pool of blood and rushed him to the hospital.

“On the way, the injured man told this person the attacker’s name, and also told him that it was a fallout of a love affair. He then passed out and died at the hospital,” the official said.

Police have formed several teams to track down the accused, he added.

With the prima facie probe, police registered a case under IPC Section 302 against the accused.
