What Team Anna doesn't like about Lokpal Bill
Arvind Kejriwal terms the Lokpal Bill as 'anti-people', says it allows the govt to behave like the big brother.

New Delhi: Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal termed the final draft of the Lokpal Bill as 'anti-people' and 'dangerous'. He said that the bill has been made in a way that allows the government to behave like the big brother.

"Everyone including teachers, priests, mosques, temples, will now come under the Lokpal's control and eventually everyone will be controlled by the government," Kejriwal said. "The government thinks that the citizens are corrupt while leaders and employees are clean," he added.

Kejriwal also called the draft a 'puppet of the government'. He said, "This bill has only 10 per cent leaders and no political parties."

He also said that the Lokpal will be like a post office. "If you go to the Lokpal with a complaint, you will first be sent to various other places," Kejriwal said.

On the CBI not being under the Lokpal, Kejriwal said, "This bill proposes to make the CBI ineffective."

Team Anna has demanded the government to work on the bill and bring a new bill.

"We dismiss this Bill presented by the government, we demand that this Bill should be worked upon again," Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal also attacked the members of the UPA saying thir knowledge of law is not good. "From what we have heard Kapil Sibal, P Chidambaram have approved of this Bill. It seems their knowledge of law is not good enough," Kejriwal said.

Speaking about Lalu Prasad creating ruckus in Parliament over reservation for minorities in the Lokpal Bill, Kejriwal said, "We should ask Lalu Prasad what he has done to fight against corruption."

Kejriwal claimed that the bill was even worse than the one that was proposed in April this year.
