An editorial in Saamana says that while Nitish claimed he quit on moral grounds, his main purpose was to form an alliance with Lalu.
Mumbai: The Shiv Sena's mouthpiece 'Saamana' has criticised former Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, calling his resignation a 'drama'. An editorial in Saamana says that while Nitish claimed he quit on moral grounds, his main purpose was to form an alliance with Lalu Prasad's Rashtriya Janata Dal.
The editorial also says that the Modi wave in Bihar has made Nitish and Lalu irrelevant. It added that any alliance between the JDU and RJD would be immoral.
Outgoing Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar has named Jeetan Ram Manjhi as his successor. Naming Manjhi, a maha Dalit from the most backward class, is being seen as a political masterstroke. But Manjhi says he will not be a puppet CM.
