However, the Supreme Court refused to stay investigation against Kripashankar and his family members.
New Delhi: There is partial relief for former Mumbai Congress chief Kripashankar Singh as the Supreme Court has put a stay on the attachment of all the movable as well as immovable properties of him, his wife and family members.
The decision by the apex court came after Kripashankar's lawyer made a statement that his will not be disposed off.
However, the apex court refused to stay investigation against Kripashankar and his family members. The Supreme Court said that the FIR would remain against them in the Disproportionate Assets case.
The Supreme Court further said that the investigations would be carried out by Mumbai Police Commissioner Arup Patnaik, as directed earlier by the Bombay High Court.
