Rae Bareli: A highly combative Priyanka Gandhi on Sunday reacted strongly to the allegations levelled by the BJP against her husband Robert Vadra challenging the opposition to continue its attacks and said that she is ready to face all accusations.
"Let them do whatever they want to. I'm not scared of them," she said in Raebareli where she is campaigning for her mother and Congress President Sonia Gandhi. She also said that she despised the politics of "destruction and negativity".
Not taking the charges seriously, she said that she knew the allegations would resurface during elections. "I knew they would reiterate these charges against us. This is nothing new," she said.
BJP Prime Ministerial nominee Narendra Modi reacted to the hullabaloo surrounding Vadra saying, "I don't believe in politics of vendetta but law must take its own course. A daughter would defend her mother and a sister defend her brother, I have no problems with that."
The BJP had earlier in the day released a video targeting Vadra and his 'corrupt' land deals. In the video, the BJP accuses Sonia's son-in-law of being involved in fraudulent land deals and the Congress party of shielding him.
The BJP has sought a reply from Congress President Sonia Gandhi and party Vice President Rahul Gandhi on the same.
