Prime Minister Modi will hold a roadshow in Chennai on Tuesday, ahead of the April 19 Lok Sabha elections in the state

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu for Lok Sabha Election 2024. PM Modi addressed a rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit and Madhya Pradesh’s Balaghat. He will also hold a roadshow in Tamil Nadu’s Chennai.

The Prime Minister is campaigning for BJP Lok Sabha poll candidate Jitin Prasad in Pilibhit. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also attended the public meeting.

Addressing the voters of Pilibhit, the Prime Minister extended New Year greetings to countrymen on the occasion of Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, Cheti Chand, Navreh and Sajibu Cheroba.

“Chaitra Navratri has also begun from today. Shakti worship is in full swing across the country. Everyone is immersed in devotion and is engaged in Shakti worship. Baisakhi is also coming in a few days, I wish you a Happy Baisakhi too,” he said.

Lashing out at the previous UPA government at the Centre, PM Modi said, “There was a time when the Congress government used to ask for help from the world.  But, during the Corona pandemic sent medicines to the world. When the country is strong then the world listens to that country. We rescued Indians from all over the world.”

When intentions are right and spirits are high, then the results are also right. Today we are seeing developed India taking place everywhere, he added.

Listing the developmental works done under his government, Modi said, “We are working towards our resolution to make India a developed nation. Amid all the difficulties before us, India is showing that nothing is impossible for it…When Chandrayaan hoisted the national flag on the Moon, didn’t you feel proud?”

He praised the present BJP government in UP and said CM Yogi Adityanath government has given more money to sugarcane farmers in the state than what sugarcane farmers had received in 14 years of SP, BSP and Congress. “The big campaign going on in the country regarding Ethanol Blending is also going to benefit the farmers of Pilibhit,” he stated.

He said the BJP government has worked with full force to reduce the problems of sugarcane farmers and opened many sugar mills, while many have been expanded and are being expanded.

He also slammed INDIA bloc parties for not attending the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and said Congress tried its best to prevent the construction of the temple.

“Our Kalyan Singh ji dedicated his life and government to the Ram temple. Every family in the country contributed according to their devotion. But the people of INDI alliance had hatred even before the construction of the Ram temple and they have hatred even today. Congress tried its best to prevent the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, but when the people of the country built such a grand temple by contributing every penny and invited then for Pran Pratishtha by forgiving all their sins, they (Congress) insulted Lord Ram by rejecting the invitation and expelled those who attended the ceremony for 6 years.” he said.

PM Modi in Balaghat

Modi addressed an election rally in the Naxal-affected Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh during his second visit to the state in three days.

Speaking at the public meeting, Modi said some months ago, in the assembly elections in MP, residents completely wiped out the Congress. “The love from mothers and sisters here clearly hints at the results in Madhya Pradesh on June 4. Now in the Lok Sabha elections, Congress people are not fighting with BJP, they are fighting with each other. That is why the voice is coming from every corner of Madhya Pradesh – Modi government once again,” he said.

This was Modi’s second visit to Madhya Pradesh in three days. On Sunday, the BJP’s star campaigner held a roadshow in Jabalpur, which is the nerve centre of the Mahakoshal region. Lok Sabha seats of Sidhi, Shahdol (ST), Jabalpur, Mandla (ST), Balaghat and Chhindwara will vote in the first phase on April 19. These constituencies are spread across Mahakoshal and Vindhya regions.

Balaghat is locked in a triangular fight between BJP candidate Bharti Pardhi, Congress’s Samrat Saraswat and BSP nominee Kankar Munjare. In 2019, the BJP had won 28 of the 29 Lok Sabha constituencies in Madhya Pradesh with the sole exception being Chhindwara which was retained by the Congress.
