Former Bihar chief minister and Bharatiya Janata Party's ally Jitan Ram Manjhi on Tuesday targeted the Narendra Modi government, saying "if Manjhi doesn't get good number of seats, it will be a loss for the NDA.
Amid reports of differences between Manjhi's Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) and the BJP leadership, the former CM said that the Centre should have intervened in Bihar as the law and order is in the worst situation in the state.
Manjhi also hit out at NDA constituent Lok Janshakti Party's Ram Vilas Paswan, saying "he is not a national Dalit leader, not even a Paswan leader". The HAM leader accused Paswan of having "weakness for his own family", adding, "My MLAs are with me, Paswan can't come in their way."
He, however, added that he was expecting a fair deal from the BJP in seat sharing for Bihar Assembly elections.
The term of the 243-member Bihar assembly ends on 29 November.
