Unnao, Uttar Pradesh: In a bid to regain lost ground in Uttar Pradesh, the Congress has fielded Bollywood actor Salman Khan for party's election campaign.
Salman on Sunday arrived in a helicopter from Lucknow to attend a "Holi Milan" function organised by Congress candidate Anu Tandon.
During the interaction with his fans, who flocked to see a glimpse of the actor, Salman asked them to vote according to their conscience.
He also asked the crowd about their problems and suggested them to meet Tandon, saying the Congress candidate will solve them.
The Bollywood actor also sang songs from his film Mujh Se Shadi Karogi and No Entryfor his fans and danced on the tune of Amitabh Bachhan's recital of Holi songs.
At present, Unnao parliamentary seat is in BSP's fold and SP also has a strong presence here. Sensing these realities, Congress has brought Salman here to woo the voters.
He will attend five Holi Milan functions and ask people to vote in favour of Tandon.
