Chandrababu Naidu Heaps Praise On Modi: 'He Has Transformed India Into A Global Powerhouse'

Narendra Modi was elected as the Leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Leader of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party and Leader of the Lok Sabha on Friday, paving way for him to take oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third time. As the BJP and its allies came together under one roof to form the next government at the Centre, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu heaped praises on Modi.

As he proposed Modi’s name for the next Prime Minister of the country, he said, “I’ve seen various governments. We are in very inspiring times. Anything, that you want to achieve, can be done if you visualise. Narendra Modi has a vision and a zeal, his execution is very perfect. He is executing all his policies with a true spirit.”

“Today, India is having the right leader – that is Narendra Modi. This is a very good opportunity for India, if we miss it now, we will miss it forever,” Naidu added.

“We stand at a crucial juncture at nation history. Modi ji has taken significant stature in last 10 years. Modi ji’s dedicated approach has transformed the nation into a global powerhouse. I give entire credit to Modi ji for making India a global powerhouse,” Naidu said.

He added that he was confident of India becoming the third largest economy in the world under the leadership of Modi.

Concluding his speech, Naidu said he “proudly” proposes Narendra Modi’s name for the next Prime Minister of India.

Along with Naidu, other BJP allies including Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal United (JDU) leader Nitish Kumar and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Chirag Paswan, NCP chief Ajit Pawar also proposed Modi’s name as NDA Parliamentary Party leader, thereby, proposing him for the position of the Prime Minister of India.

Praising Modi, Paswan said, “I congratulate my Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is because of you that NDA has achieved this massive victory. The credit for this goes to you. It was that willpower which helped in recording such a massive victory in history. It was not a normal thing that NDA kept getting such a big victory under the leadership of the Prime Minister for the third time in a row…Because of you, today in front of the world we can proudly say that India has become the fifth-largest economy of the country. The people of India have full faith in you…”

Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan also endorsed PM Modi, saying, “Modi ji, you truly inspire the nation. As long as you are the Prime Minister of this country, our country will never bow down to anyone.”

Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony as the Prime Minister is set to take place on June 9, Sunday.
