Varanasi: A day after some Aam Aadmi Party volunteers were allegedly beaten by the BJP members in Varanasi, party convener Arvind Kejriwal hit out on Sunday saying the city is being terrorised by the saffron party. "Earlier only I was being attacked, but now even common people are being attacked by BJP's hooligans," he alleged.
He also said that the temple town is being terrorised by the BJP. "We need more security for the people of Varanasi," Kejriwal said.
Claiming that people are scared to vote in Varanasi, he said, "Central forces need to be deployed here."
Taking a jibe at the political slugfest between the Congress and BJP over Robert Vadra, Kejriwal said if the BJP is serious about him why is the Vasundhara Raje government in Rajasthan not arresting him.
"This is a Congress-BJP match fixing. If BJP comes to power they will not arrest Vadra, and the Congress has promised it that they will not take action against snooping scandal in Gujarat," said Kejriwal.
Three AAP volunteers were injured in an alleged attack by some suspected BJP workers in Assi Ghat in Varanasi on Monday following which an FIR has been lodged against 15 unidentified persons.
